JAVIER CARRILLOS – ALTO SAXOPHONE

He began his musical career under the guidance of his father. His artistic motivations led him to work regularly with different teachers in Spain and abroad.

He completed his academic training at the Conservatorio Superior de Música «Oscar Esplá» in Alicante, where he obtained the highest marks and the Extraordinary End of Degree Prize by unanimous vote.

 He has been a member of various chamber ensembles and has collaborated with several orchestras, such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of Madrid and the Chamartín Symphony Orchestra. He has made recordings for R.T.V.E. and R.N.E.


The work and study of the avant-garde repertoire led him to promote newly created works, premiering several scores under the supervision of and working closely with their composers.


 From 1998 to 2004 he was soloist of the Symphonic Band of the Casa de S.M.”El Rey”. For the work carried out during his time in this Symphonic Band the Head of State, S. M. El Rey, awarded him the title of «Caballero de la Orden del Mérito Civil».


After having taught at various centres in the Community of Madrid and at the Professional Conservatory of Elche, his experience as a teacher is complemented by advanced courses and different Master Classes in various parts of Spain.

He currently combines teaching at the Professional Conservatory «Guitarrista José Tomás» in Alicante with his artistic activity.
